Summary:
With the exponential increase in unemployment in all Europe, we should have even a greater concern to train our youth so they can deal with this scenario and with the challenges that await them in the workplace.
Nowadays the old idea of having a "job for life", no longer makes sense. We walk more and more to multi-skilled workers. In this perspective, what are the new markets where young people can browse and / or create their own jobs? What kind of new jobs exists today and will exist in the future? What are the new skills that can ensure more jobs and more security?
How can Young European citizens look for support in their own local communities? And what about the professions of our fathers and grandfathers? Do you think that those professions are really outdated, or can it be a solution for some problems related to the economic crises?
We believe that non-formal education, entrepreneurship values, solidarity, pro-activity, good partnerships and resilience training can be essential tools for a better Future, for a Better Europe.
"New jobs and new employability skills for the European Young Generations" will be a Youth Exchange where is possible to raise our European awareness about these main themes, but it will be also possible to share good practices and projects, to share different realities of employment and unemployment between the European countries and most of all to reflect on what each one of us can do to be more prepared for this reality!
