“MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE ON VALUES AND VIRTUES” (KA205 Erasmus+ Project Proposal)

DESCRIPTION:
The project will explore the powerful impact of values on our lives, for which we are seldom aware of. People in general (especially young people) are quite knowledgeable about many (sometimes very complex) things that are in fact of lesser importance to their well-being. At the same time, they don‘t pay much attention to fundamental determinants of their existence as represented by values and virtues. Values are of those important, but not urgent things, which we almost never find time for in our busy days. Well, the idea of this project is to develop innovative training content on values and virtues (for a pilot 5-day training seminar), test it in practice, and popularize the results.

NUMBER OF PARTNERS: 2 or 3 partners needed (please note that we are not looking for partners with just interest in the field, but for ones with transferrable know-how on the topic).

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
- To study values and their subtle, but substantial impact on everyday life;
- To link values with needs, emotions, behavior, and quality (and even quantity) of life;
- To explore different sets of values and matching virtues and to look at how they produce the corresponding reality;
- To create an international community of knowledge in the field with perspectives for further development;
- To develop related skills in youths as ability for critical thinking, social and civil competences, learning to learn, etc.

BACKGROUND OF PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS:

For the implementation of this KA205 project we will strongly rely on the partner organizations’ input and involvement in all stages of the project.

At the moment, the leading organization has a working structure of the 5-day training content, which is as follows:

Day 1: Personal values
Day 2: Interpersonal values (values and virtues manifested in small groups – in the family or at the job)
Day 3: Social and political values and virtues
Day 4: European values
Day 5: Universal values

However, this structure is not set in stone and we will comply with the know-how and suggestions of the selected partner organizations.
