Mind the Gap

We aim to offer tools to young participants to recognize the different types of behavior that aggravate the inequality between men and women in society and that sometimes occur in a "hidden" way that goes unnoticed because they are fully integrated into collective thinking.
Associazione Joint would like to implement this Youth Exchange for the deadline of the 26th of April.
The project will run in November 2018 and will take place in Bologna (Italy). During the 7 days of activities (+2 travel days) we will live an intercultural experience between 5 different countries.
Being a partner in this project you commit to:
- Select participants committed/interested to the issue of gender equality and willing to learn and share their opinions with other international participants;
- The gender balance will be guaranteed: the partners will be asked to select for each national group 3 girls and 3 boys plus a group leader (regardless of gender).
- Carry out at least one training meeting with the participants (face-to-face or via Skype) before the exchange, in which they will be explained the previous tasks they should perform:
- Some warm up activities to be done every day before starting the activities;
- The search for information on a famous woman in her country who has done something important nationwide for the defense of equality or to help improve society/science/economy/etc. at European or global level;
- For intercultural evenings they have to prepare a presentation about their country and some activities (type of quizzes) to involve the other participants, typical food, music or dance, etc. and definitely everything they consider interesting;
- Use the "Equality decalogue" in local activities after the exchange. It is a document written by the participants in which will be indicated ten procedures to be carried out in order to coexist in gender equality and to identify the cases of inequality in society.
- Share photos, videos and all materials related to the exchange through websites and social networks.
- Complete a form to evaluate the impact of the experience on the participants and to participate in a conference call with the Associazione Joint to share the results achieved at the communicative level and the impact that the project has had on the different local communities.
There is a participation fee of 50€ per participant, that will be deducted from the travel costs reimbursement in case you the participant don't remain under the budget limit (for example: with a budget of 275€ of travel costs, if you spend 225€ of travel costs or less you don't have to pay any participation fee).

Italian and Spanish partners will not be considered.
