“Learning Volunteering on Dairy Farms” is a project based on awareness raising about EU common agriculture policy and volunteering on farms.

“Learning Volunteering on Dairy Farms” is a project based on awareness raising about EU common agriculture policy and volunteering on farms in context with European year of volunteering.
During the exchange, a week with young participants and their group leaders from different parts of Europe, participants will involve themselves in raising awareness activities in the city of Aydin and nearby villages such as, visiting dairy farms, helping the work there, milking cows, maintenance of dairy farms, running milk campaigns, visiting elementary schools, home for orphans and distributing milk to children there, sharing the best practices in their countries concerning agriculture and health and discuss EU policies of youth and agricultural, plus NGO fair, intercultural night party, cow beauty contest, sightseeing and visiting to Ephesus and Kusadasi, organizing panel at Adnan Menderes University Agricultural Faculty.
It is expected that this project will enable participants will also empower their ability to influence local people and create difference, increase their knowledge on both volunteering at rural areas, EU agricultural policies, learn from each other, get acquainted with Turkish- Aegean culture.
Project Leader is Cattle Breeders’ Association of Aydin. These results will be used to plan and execute new project or projects.
PS: Participants should be interested in farm activities, especially participants who study agriculture or livestock are preferred.
