Today, the digital world has become an integral part of our lives. With the opportunities offered by the Internet, we can easily perform many errands from communication to shopping. However, besides these digital conveniences, the security of personal data has become a major concern.
In our newly finished Erasmus+ KA210 small scale partnership in youth project, we aimed to raise awareness of individuals against the risks they may encounter in the digital world by emphasising how important the protection of personal data and cyber security is, especially to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to minimise the potential damage of e-mails and passwords leaked on the internet.
As an outcome of the Project a platform named Am I sAfe? was developed that helps users protect their personal data. The tools within this platform are designed to enable individuals to take safer steps in the digital world. The active tools on the platform are as follows:
•Information Collection
•E-mail Data Leakage Control
•Password Manager
•Information Panel
•Site and File Security Scanning
We are planning to apply for KA220 cooperation partnership in youth as a follow-up Project of How Safe Is Your Personal Data? and develop new cyber security tools . They are as follows;
•Disposable e-mail: It is used to provide temporary and anonymous communicationand protect actual e-mail address, especially when registering for online services or receiving confirmation e-mails. In this way, unsolicited e-mails can be avoided and privacy can be ensured.
•Risk Assessment: A risk assessment will be conducted for users by asking questions about their online habits and the security measures they have taken.
•Personalised Tips: Personalised tips and suggestions will be provided to raise awareness according to users' risk scores.
•Push Notifications and Alerts: Instant notifications and alerts will be sent to users against potential threats or security breaches.
•Interactive Trainings and e- modules: Individuals will be encouraged to practice how to react to real scenarios in simulation and interactive trainings.
•Chatbot: It will help to eliminate uncertainties by answering users' questions about cyber security.
