Jazz 4 YOUth

One of the simplest forms of interpersonal communication is the common creative process. Art is
a universal language, through which, it’s possible for the participants to learn to know each other’s
culture more deeply, thus strengthening their European identity. By learning from their peers they
become part of the process which results in the realization of intercultural dialogue.
We organize workshops for young artists in Budapest, during
which representatives of each country will be able to present their culture in the language of music.
The delegates of each partner country will choose a melody, pattern from their own folklore, which
determines the theme of the given day. The creative workshops will take place in smaller groups.
The treated ideas will be presented in famous cultural establishments our Association has a good
relationship with (e.g.: Szimpla Café, Budapest Jazz Club, Trafó, Jedermann Café), thus increasing the
publicity of the programme.
