Healthy Lifestyle in Youth Organisations

The seminar will take place in late October 2017 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Youth organisations are a place where involved young people spend a lot of their time. From our
experience, most of those organisations do not address their members' health in any way. There are many ways that a youth organisation can make healthier choices and with that show their members that healthier lifestyle is not hard at all. Young people always need someone to look upon, and many times, youth organisations can show them a good picture in the health area. With this Seminar, we want to share our experiences and help partner youth organisations to find the best way, how they can
make healthier choices during their work with young people and affect their members' lifestyles in a good way.

- to raise awareness among youth organisations how they can address their member’s healthy
lifestyles and help them improve it,

- to define the guidelines for youth organisations that can help their member with achieving a
healthy lifestyle,

- to perform a survey about healthy lifestyle in partner youth organizations and use the results
for creating the guidelines,

- to prepare useful toolkits that will help to maintain healthy lifestyle in organisations with a
help of participants,

- to show participants how they can implement healthy lifestyle into their own activities inside
their youth organisations.

- Last but not least, to show that healthy lifestyle is very important and that addressing it is not hard at all.

We are looking for partner organizations from Erasmus Plus Programme countries (EU + Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey), who will all select 2 participants from their organisation to attend the Seminar. The organisation does not need any previous experiences with working on the field of public health or healthy lifestyles, but should have a clear interest to work on the topic of the Seminar in the future. The target group will be youth workers or people in managing positions in youth organization. The age limit for the participants is between 18 and 30 years.

The seminar will take place in March or April 2017 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The duration of the Seminar will be 7 days including two days for arrivals and departures.

Costs of the accomodation, food and transport (to a certain amount under the terms of Erasmus+ programme) will be covered.
