Op.1.1. Increased capacity of consumer CSOs for facilitating sustainable consumption

Activities for Op.1.1.
Conducting a Desk research and online survey of consumer CSOs and their needs in each partner country
Establishing an internet based networking platform for CSOs, Consumers for Green Transition Network for West Balkans and Turkey (CGNet). The network will also integrate to available right based consumer networks in Europe
Conducting two study visits for realising project activities
Developing Digital Sustainable Consumption for Green Transition Platform based on learning management technologies and for increasing capacity of CSOs and raising the awareness of local consumers in XXX languages. The digital platform includes separate sections for CSOs and consumers with 3 modules focusing on:
• Changing consumer attitudes and behaviours in sustainable utilization of products/services
• Pressuring private sector for sustainable production through green consumerism
• Pressuring policy makers for reforms in sustainable consumption and production
Providing capacity building digital trainings local for CSOs in the following areas:
• Sustainable Consumption in line with green transition
• Project financial management,
• Project implementation,
• Stakeholder Relations and Visibility
• Advocacy
Providing mentorship for CSOs in the training issues
Providing 20% of the project budget as financial aid to third parties for facilitating sustainable consumption for green transition.
Activities for Op.1.2.
Establishing a policy monitoring centre, Consumers for Green Transition Policy Monitoring and Advocacy Centre for (CGCen) operating in Western Balkans and Turkey
Desk research on sustainable consumption and production policies and their implementation of partner countries for Green Transition.
Developing/updating a digital platform showing each country’s status based on the desk research
Developing an annual monitoring report on SCP policies and challenges faced in execution. Each report will cover all partner countries in separate chapters Organising annual monitoring workshops for evaluating steps taken in SCP relevant reforms.
Developing an annual policy proposal document (with revisions every year) for necessary legal and administrative changes for removing roadblocks in each country with consideration of EU principles and rules.
Activities for Op.1.2.
Organising an annual sustainable consumption workshop for specifying advocacy agenda
Operating social/digital media accounts, blogs, forums, chatrooms integrated to the project website to facilitate interactions among civil society members and local residents
Establishing a YouTube Tv and broadcasting in the local language of each country (subtitled in English) twice a month
Creating a digital consumer news platform in context of green transition, a multilanguage site to effectively access to residents of each country
Organising webinars
Preparing digital stories about diverse sustainable consumption issues in line with green transition
Lobbying with policy makers in each country for necessary policy changes
Mobilising civil society and local residents for pressuring policy makers and implementers through digital and telecommunication means, and letters
Conducting annual media campaigns for attracting attention of local residents and pressuring policy makers

Organising a preliminary meeting
Opening a project office
Organising a stakeholder networking meeting in each country
Developing the project’s website
Organising local dissemination meetings (a meeting per country)
