The Partner-Finding Tool
Cooperation partnership in the field of youth - KA220
Strategic partnership on Gender-based violence
The project will focus on the change of the mindset of children and young adolescents regarding respect for women and gender equality in order to reduce gender-based violence. During the project, we will involve schools and sports clubs in order to reach children 6-18 years old (especially 8-12) and to create a need analysis based on data collection. According to the need analysis, we will proceed with an extensive campaign to raise awareness of gender-based violence and inequality between genders and to spark a discussion about the effects of these actions on victims.
The objective is to end men’s violence against women and girls, including honor-related violence and oppression while acknowledging that men and boys have an important role to play in violence prevention.
Actions can focus on different areas such as:
• early intervention to address adverse childhood experiences and break the cycle of violence;
• a universal (primary) prevention approach, for example, by working with young people
• a targeted prevention approach through perpetrator treatment programmes to prevent recidivism.
