The Partner-Finding Tool
The project titled "Forgotten Songs on the Migration Routes". The project is Ka1 and foreseen between 15th and 22th of October 2017 in Eskisehir/Turkey.
Border: For most refugees this word is a synonym for pain, injuries, separation from their families and their own natural geography. It is a line, which is either connecting nations with each other or separating them from one other.
H.N. Brailsford once said that people understand what war means after the war has finished. According to this aphorism one can assume that human right abuses and other negative impacts of the current war will appear in its full scope a few years after the war. During this traumatic war we will be working on young refugees not to forget their culture and let their culture live through music. It is believed that music is one of the best ways to express feelings and thoughts. Pages-long written articles and hours-long told stories cannot be in the same effectiveness of a folksong, which provides the feeling of one entire culture in a few minutes.
5 countries will take part at this project. Each country will join with six participants and one leader. Each group will prepare five different folksongs, which are representing the participants’ cultures. The songs will be performed and the respective stories will be told to each other. Ten chosen songs will be studied from all groups. At the end of the project these ten songs will be performed in a multi-phonic and multicultural concert.
