the Youth Exchange EXPRESS'ART is a space for discussion, reflection and development of equity shares to a transversal approach , looking for more and more open political practices and social and artistic expressions of youth through ART.

Project presentation: Our proposal is based on a common issue between the two shores of the Mediterranean : This will focus on the use of new art forms ( wall murals , Graffiti , photos, music , video…) by youth in order to translate their revolts and their fight against racism and xenophobia as well as their aspirations for justice and freedom, using Art as a weapon of resistance and creation , manifested in the uprising of the people in the Arab world as well as societal changes in some European countries planning this exchange in the framework of the Euromed Youth program can give substance to the support for the new Tunisia especially during this difficult phase of transition to democracy including free artistic creation as well as any other form expression and to all the participant countries as well. This project brings together young people, youth workers and leaders of their group giving the opportunity to work on the theme through various activities , participants will interact and stimulate by interventions with young people who already experienced situations of oppression due to their social or political artistic expression
Youth Exchange objectives:
1. Acquire or enhance participants' knowledge in the fields of democracy and freedom of speech ;
2. Raise the knowledge of the traditions and cultures of the countries involved in the project through their respective Art;
3. Strengthen the awareness about Euromediteranian citizenship among the youth;
4. Improve the knowledge of foreign languages, especially of French and English;
5. Develop the interest on the application of non-formal methods for the promotion of projects in the field of arts and music;
6. Improve the technical and digital skills of the participants.
Methodologies:
working groups, workshops, round tables, role games, reflection groups.
Working Languages:
English and French.
Partner’s Profile:
Euro-Med EVE will choose its partners according to the following criteria:
- Non-profit organizations, youth organization and/or informal group of young people;
- Experience in creation of event and/or project for the promotion of art and culture, at local/international level.
- Experience in the youth field;
- Knowledge of English and/or French languages in order to facilitate the communication;
Working conditions:
- Venue: Nabeul (Tunisia)
- Working days: 6
- Travel days: 2
- Travel expenses : 70% covered by Euromed youth program funds
- Accommodation and food : 100% covered by Erasmus plus funds;
- Participation fees : no participation is required from the participants;
- Materials: provided by the coordinating organization. Other material can be brought by the participants;
Participants’ Profile:
Youth between 18 and 25 years old: young people passionate of Art , singing and practicing music, as well as youth with fewer opportunities interested in artistic activities. No languages skills are required for the participants. However, the youth leader should have a basic knowledge of English or French. Unfortunately, due to inappropriate host condition we will not be able to host people with physical disabilities.
Team composition:
- 4 young people + 1 youth leader per group. (equal gender)
- 6 participating countries (03 program country +03 meda country )
