EVS in Italy

We are looking for 2 volunteers from Russia for an ESV project in Italy

YOUng Culture is a “volunteering project” that will take place in Feltre (BL) from August 2018 to July 2019.
The project, coordinated by the association "Comitato d'Intesa tra le associazioni volontaristiche della provincia di Belluno”, together with the municipality of Feltre, takes into consideration the objectives and the mission of the European Year of Cultural heritage 2018, and starts a new path of intercultural reflections and learning, opened not only to local young people, but also to two Russian volunteers, whose aim is that of sensitizing the new generations towards the economic and social importance of cultural heritage.
The project aims to implement, in a international way, the activities developed by the Youth Center of the municipality of Feltre together with the local association ISOIPSE and the creative ground of ADOMultimedia Heritage, namely MuseoDolom.it, a virtual museum of the Dolomites landscape, created in 2015 with the help of more than 200 students from Belluno, with the aim of exploring, promoting and enhancing the Dolomites Unesco world heritage site and the components and transformation steps of the local territory, through the witnesses of the local people living in the territory.
Since it is a virtual museum, whose strength is the creativity of young people, the municipality of Feltre, supported by Comitato d’Intesa, is trying with this new project to regenerate the platform, thanks to the contribution of two new young volunteers that will assist and help the youth workers of the Youth centre and of the association ISOIPSE in the creation, implementation, sustainability and dissemination of the modern digital contents.
The goals of the YOUng Culture project are:
-To include two young volunteers in an innovative project in the field of digital heritage and landscape education;
-To promote volunteering as an expression of active citizenship, solidarity and social inclusion;
-To build a common European volunteering vision, based on shared values;
-To experiment involving and modern paths, based on non-formal and informal learning methods;
-To use multimedia languages, such as experimental methods of peer education;
-To recognize and certify the level of competences, skills and attitudes gained by the young volunteers during the mobility experience;
-To create a transnational network of partnership, starting point for any future collaboration.

Thanks to the agreement already signed with the local school office, with the association ISOIPSE and the creative ground ADOMultimedia Heritage, the two young volunteers will have the chance to live an highly valuable intercultural experience thanks to the activities organized by the hosting organization. In particular, the two volunteers will support and help the youth workers of the youth center of Feltre, by taking care of some front office and back office activities, as well as some social and cultural entertaining projects opened to local young people. The two volunteers will be also involved in a innovative path in the field of cultural heritage, towards an involving approach of management of the landscape and of the cultural heritage.

The goal of the project is that of giving to the young volunteers and to the local young people not only artistic and digital educational activities, but most of all an educational path towards interculturality, able to provide social inclusion and active participation of young people inside the community.
The partnership network will guarantee a good level or expertise: every partner has been selected on the basis of the complementarity and integration of competences, lovability, experience and contribution during the phase of definition and creation of the project idea.
Comitato d’Intesa and the project partners have a very long and well documented experience in the field of non-formal learning, of management of young groups of people and promotion of intercultural dialogue, as well as good project management skills, which are fundamental requirements to assure a quality network.
The direct results of the project will be all the digital products created in the context of MuseoDolom.it (such as videos, digital storytelling, audio stories, maps and interactive timelines, photo and music galleries), as well as a final video realized at the end of the mobility experience. All the results will be shared and spread by all the involved partner organizations and by the local network of associated partners, through their communication channels.
Both the video and the multimedia products will have an impact and a benefit in the long term: shared and promoted at all levels, they will become instruments of peer and media education, promoting an horizontal communication among equals.
