European Internship Exchange

The European Internship Exchange is a running project (open end), which is offering students in Secondary Schools an internship in our partner cities and schools.

The European Internship Exchange is a running project, which is offering students in Secondary Schools an internship in our partner cities and schools.

Up to now, 14 schools in 7 Countries are acting together:
- Region of Padua (Italy)
- Serres (Greece)
- Grudziadz (Poland)
- Chateauroux (France)
- Broxtowe (England)
- Falun (Sweden)
- Rshew (Russia)
- Gütersloh (Germany)

The internships are organized by teachers from our school-network. They are taking place in times of schools-out. We continuously want to expand the network. Students usually are in the age of between 15 – 18 years.

Goals of the European Internship Exchange:
- Enabling special socialization of students
through internships in EU-Countries
- Learn about working and social life in the
partner cities and countries
- Creation of "bridges" to European people,
schools, cities and countries
- Accommodation of students in host families (for free) = this results in a compulsory counter-visit

Costs:
Only travelling costs accrue. Every Partner manages the funding of these costs, because we want to offer these possibilities to every interested student. We do not want to be dependent on the purse of the parental home.

Project extension:
- Extending the exchange of internships by trainees from the city administrations
- Extending the exchange for the benefit of students from universities

We are searching YOU:
You are working at a school or an organization, which is interested in cooperating in the European Internship Exchange? We search for schools / organizations e.g. in Spain, because very much students in Gütersloh learn the Spanish language at school, and it would be great, to offer them such an opportunity.
But don’t misunderstand this: We are basically open to any other partner - no matter from which EU country.

Please notice, that the European Internship Exchange is a running project. We are not able to place an ERASMUS-Application because of internships from students of secondary schools.
