We propose through this project to bring to the fore the undeniable and immeasurable value of practicing physical exercises in the social inclusion process
We propose through this project to bring to the fore the undeniable and immeasurable value of practicing physical exercises in the social inclusion process of youth with disabilities/immigrants/marginalized persons. We wish to establish partnerships with high education institutions in order to promote the concept of combating the social exclusion and identification of likely to be excluded categories depending on the characteristics of the social environment where each partner will conduct its activity.
Each partner will identify aspects which are determining the social exclusion and will create a best practices guide at the end of the project, to support social inclusion of people from different risk categories.
Objectives of the conducted activities are:
Favoring the physical and mental wellbeing;
Promoting of social values;
Eliminating the social cleavages;
Exploiting the abilities of immigrants/people with disabilities/marginalized persons;
Awareness amongst physical exercises’ practitioners of the positive effects produced by participating to physical activities;
Stimulating communication between caregivers of different social categories (including the minority ones);
Supporting the gender equality;
Supporting the exchange of ideas and best practices;
Training in the domain of equal opportunities;
Encouraging volunteerism in sport;
Promoting fairness in sport competitions;
Combating racist and xenophobic attitudes;
Promoting attitudes, convictions, moral feelings (fair-play, respect, collaboration, friendship).
Main activity: The competition will be conducted for the following branches of sport: basketball, football, track and field, volleyball, handball, tennis, swimming, etc. It can also be included another branches of sport, according to each partner’s tradition in this matter. Teams will include 2 to 10 members, depending on each branch of sport.
