EmployME! Enhancing Youth Experience & Skills through Participation and Volounteering

Nowadays many valuable youngsters are engaged in carrying out volunteering activities and work. Plainly, current society does not offer them enough opportunities to get employed. It is very difficult to get a job that could appraise their attitudes and ambitions, but it could be easy to start creating a new one useful for social life and community: an answer should be given. With this project we will try to find alternative solutions in commuting their skills as volunteers to professionals and self-employed.
EmpowerMe! is a Multilateral Youth Exchange project thought to collect participants from countries around Europe for talking, discussing, reflecting, sharing possibilities for addressing the young people for today’s and tomorrow’s job market. Taking advantage of all their skills and capabilities gained throughout their previous and present work as volunteers, they will be successful in their professional life.
We are looking for partner organizations in 4 Program Countries. The participants should be preferably aged 25 – 30 plus a group leader. Each group will have 4 participants and 1 group leader. It will be good if the groups can be gender balanced. English at a conversational level should be a must, at least for the leader. We want to include in this event young people that are currently unemployed or looking for a job, with previous experiences as volunteers. Their experience will prove to be a source of learning during the exchange to get alternative solutions for their future professional careers. The YE will be carried out in June 2015.
