Differences Challenge Assumptions

Project designed to be highly challenging for participants to push and stimulate them to rethink and shift their own view on the world.

“Differences challenge assumptions” project wants to answer to the lack of advanced intercultural working competencies and sensitivity in youth work field and especially of the ones active and working in international or multicultural settings.

The main goal of this project is to increase the level of intercultural competent, sensitive and quality youth work field.

More specific Objectives that will contribute to achieve the main aim:
• To increase/upgrade the knowledge level of youth workers in Intercultural Learning Topics (culture, identity, prejudices, stereotypes, assumptions, relativism, communication, clashes, intercultural sensitivity);
• To contribute to a deep understanding of the global settings and influence on the cultural awareness of young people;
• To develop practical skills in working and managing quality intercultural learning process in international projects with young people;
• To develop high cultural sensitive attitudes in youth work field;
• To empower youth workers to act as responsible intercultural sensitive actors in international field and project ;

The training course is strongly based on experiential learning (learning by doing) and non-formal education, with adequate time allocated for debriefing and reflection throughout the whole program as the process will be highly personal and aim for attitudinal changes therefore the reflection is very important part of the process (as the educational team is well aware of).

We are going to apply at Erasmus+ for 2nd February deadline and if you like to be partner we need the attached documents (partner profile in word version) and the mandate (where you need to fill in the yellow part then to sign it, stamp it and then scanned it) back to our e-mail!

We will want to have 2 people per organization involved fully (in all stages of the project) and same financing rules applied as usual in Erasmus+ for the residential training course:
- 100% accommodation and food cost,
- 100% of travel cost is covered by the project under certain limits depending of your location
- We envision to have a contribution from each team to make the project a success which will be reflected in a small participation fee.

Please announce me as soon as possible if you are interested in the project!
