Summary:
The project "Dialogue Between Generations: One Way to Solidarity” expects, in the course of 5 (work)days, to gather 20 participants coming from 10 different countries to help them building bridges between each other and reflecting on the need to systematize solidarity between the young and the senior generations, while offering a view of youth work dedicated to intergenerational dialogue.
The objectives of this project are:
- expressing to youth the importance of learning from experience with older people;
- allowing senior citizens to pass their experience and to share knowledge with the younger generation and giving a chance to senior citizens to reflect on young people's knowledge, skills, energy and dynamic force;
- promoting a structured dialogue between generations.
The project will include visits to several senior-oriented projects around Lisbon, debates, round tables, and discussions on the promotion of intergenerational solidarity, with the help of non-formal education methods.
