Defend Yourself against Disinformation!

Increase awareness in terms of media literacy and share the experience of fighting disinformation in order to become informationally more protected citizen

The project "Defend yourself against disinformaton" aims to gather the citizens from the EU and neighbouring partner countries to the project about the medialiteracy and protection against disinformation, which sets the following objectives:

Increase theoretical awareness in terms of media literacy
o Get familiar with basics of media functioning
o How does objective media work (basic elements of objectivity)
o What kind of strategies and tactics (such as framing, priming, agenda-setting) do propaganda media use to spread particular narratives
o What are basics of disinformation and how the content can manipulate the attitudes of society
Share the practical experience among the citizens of different countries
o What are examples of channels from their countries spreading propaganda content
o What type of narratives do those channels spread (especially in terms of spreading anti-western narratives as a part of hybrid war organized by anti-western powers
o Share the experience – how what are main challenges deriving from such disinformation/propaganda channels
o Share the experience – how in case of different countries they deal with such disinformation/propaganda messages
Promote cross-cultural dialogue
