Culture - Freedom – Native Country | An International Youth Theatre Project 2012

What do terms like culture, freedom, native country mean to you?
The organization "stummer schrei" is looking for Youth Groups from all over Europe to discuss and work on these topics. We are providing a unique platform for intercultural youth exchange and your theatre skills.

The cultural association “stummer schrei“ will arrange a two-week international theatre meeting. Approximately 45 young people - aged 18 to 23 - from different countries will cooperate to develop a play and eventually perform it as part of the cultural festival.

Central topics of this play will be the meaning of people's cultural background and their affiliation to their native country; freedom on the individual, political and social level; democracy and its limits - today as well as in the history of the respective countries.

Our aim is to offer an artistic platform, where through the medium of acting (and in cooperation with professional actors and directors) creativity can be shown and intercultural dialogue takes place. The results will be presented on stage as part of the cultural festival “stummer schrei“.
