Under the project “Contact. Create. Improve. Develop Quality EVS projects” two activities will be implemented in Cyprus within the timeframe of 7 months.

The first activity is envisaged as a Partnership building activity and will take place at the first week of September. This meeting will gather 30 coordinators and supervisors from the organizations willing to develop new contacts with organizations aiming at creating and building new partnerships for exchanging of EVS volunteers. There will be sessions dedicated to the philosophy of EVS, rights and responsibilities of the different actors, support systems, practical aspects of the projects and dealing with challenging situations that might appear during the implementation of the projects. Additionally the event will provide space for developing specific projects for the next deadline – October, 1st. Duration of the meeting - 5 days with one arrival and one departure days.

The second activity is a training course for mentors that will gather 30 highly motivated people that are willing to become actively involved with the support and mentoring of EVS volunteers. The training will aim at improving the competences of EVS mentors in dealing with young volunteers. The training will be practically orientated with sessions on communication, dealing with conflicts, coaching, supporting of learning process and will prepare the mentors to welcome the new EVS arrivals in their organizations. Additionally the training will create a support system for the mentors themselves, providing space and platform to help each other within the project. The training course will last 5 days with one arrival and one departure days and will be organized the last week of October.

During the whole project partner organizations will have a constant communication and support in implementing the project activities.
