Conflict resolution in the local youth work

Youth workers' mobility that aims at equipping the participants with the tools, methods, and technicalities to engage in and to build peace projects!

#Important_Note: Only organizations that have at least one person (staff, trainer, youth worker, group leader) with experience in the mentioned topics will be considered!

This is a youth workers' mobility that aims at equipping the participants with the tools, methods, and technicalities to engage in and to build peace projects on the community level using non-violent and community-based dialogue.

Our goal is to come up with projects during the training and to support the participants to implement these projects in the future in their communities. We also aim at building a community of Peace Educators that can further teach peace to young people.

In this context, after UNICEF, peace education is the process of promoting the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values needed to bring about behavior change that will enable children, youth, and adults to prevent conflict and violence, both overt and structural; to resolve conflict peacefully; and to create the conditions conducive to peace, whether at an interpersonal, inter-group, national or international level.

We plan one main activity for about 35 youth worker participants from 5 to 8 countries to meet for 7 to 9 days and critically and actively work on the design and initiation of peace projects after they have been confronted with the necessarily related concepts such as Conflict, Violence, Security and Communication.

We are looking for partners from the EU programme countries, not EU programme countries, and Western Balkan. We would welcome also partners from other partner countries.

To be eligible for joining this project your organisation has to have a variety of experiences in a range of topics such as at least human rights, youth work, entrepreneurship, and management. You should also be working on the grassroots level to transform and resolve issues.
