Building Youth Supportive Communities

We're looking for sending partners for an EVS project aiming at promoting nonformal learning in rural Romania.

The project aims at promoting nonformal education in the rural community as well as developing intercultural skills for the volunteers.

The project will take place in the rural community of Izvoarele village, Prahova County in Romania. The beautiful surroundings and the mountain landscape shared by both Romanians and Roma ethnics will provide an excellent environment for building trust, tolerance and understanding between the different cultural groups participating in the project.

The 6 volunteers will have the opportunity to learn basic Romanian, to experience life in a rural community in Romania and to develop or enhance intercultural, entrepreneurship, and social and civic competencies. They will run and participate in juggling workshops, will assist in running the youth centre, will deliver presentations on volunteering and so on to the local community.
The volunteers will help organize and run a 3-7 day event on nonformal education.

In order to become a partner for this project please download the attached forms, fill them in and send them over to partnerships@curbadecultura.ro by August 31st. 2014 of course.
We are keen on developing new partnerships with relevant rural youth organisations all around Europe.
