Boosters of Youth Employability

The project “Boosters of Youth Employability” will explore the phenomena of unemployment, especially youth unemployment as one of the biggest challenges that European countries face today and how youth organisations through youth work and non-formal education can address this vital issue. In the same time, the project will explore and promote youth entrepreneurship as a tool to overcome unemployment and will discuss and work on practical non-formal education tools and activities that can increase young people’s employability.
The Training course will explore current situations in European countries regarding unemployment and will serve as a space to map the socio-economic issues and complications connected with unemployment while in the same time identifying relevant problems or deficiencies and offering possible concrete solutions and actions that can overcome them. During the project, relevant EU strategies, initiatives and support opportunities concerning unemployment, youth unemployment and entrepreneurship will be introduced and discussed.
The main aim of the Training course is to train, empower and improve professional competences of youth workers, youth leaders and professionals in the youth sector to successfully work through non-formal education on improving the entrepreneurial, employability and transversal skills of young people they work with within their organisations and communities as a way to combat youth unemployment and promote active participation in democratic life and the labour market in Europe.
The working methods used throughout the training course will be various non-formal educational, experiential and creative methods that will include: brainstorming, discussions, groups work, team building games, lectures, debates, simulations, exercises, business planning, theatre, role playing, open-space activities and presentations.

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES:
28 EU member states + EFTA countries + FYROM + Turkey
Each partner organisationshould send 2 participants.

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:
 Youth workers, youth leaders,project managers, trainers, active volunteers in youth organisations,or NGO/public sector staff working with youth
 Over 18 years old (preferably 18 to 35 years old)
 Involved in the work of the organisations
 ready and able to attend for the full duration of the course;
 With good command of the English language
