Summary:
The Youth in Action (YiA) programme aims to inspire active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future. It is, as a matter of a fact, a tool to gather young people from different European countries and to give them the chance to widen their horizons in issues of their interest. YiA is a program for all that promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, encouraging the inclusion of all young people, regardless their educational, social and cultural background.
Due to this fact, ACV is planning to organize a seminar that will focus on the importance of YiA through the equal share of YiA good practices between youth workers that deal with this program and the Portuguese National Agency.
Through this seminar, we plan to contribute for the capacity of youth workers and their organizations to know more about the program and how it works in Portugal, inviting experts from the Portuguese National Agency to share their experience with the participants.
With this project, ACV plans to contribute for the dissemination of the importance of the YiA programme as a tool for the future. A good practices guide will be created which should work as a useful instrument for all persons or entities involved in the YiA, helping them to create and implement better projects in the future. In this way, ACV will strengthen the impact of European cooperation in the field of youth policies and will also support project development under the Youth in Action programme.
