Artistic and educative documentary project ‘Les voies de la mer(e) - Odyssée Première’. ART for a better intercultural understanding.

Transnational documentary project ‘Les voies de la mer(e) - Odyssée Première’ for a better intercultural understanding and a culture of peace. FOR ERAMSUS+ Org

In a nutshell, our artistic and transnational project ‘Les voies de la mer(e)- Odyssée Première’ aims to show by a video documentary the importance of art education for social inclusion, and peace culture education. Insisting on woman influence in the transmission of traditions (for example through circular dances, rhymes, circular dances, tales and legends...) to show the influence of various waves of migrations in Europe across time.
Here in France, with young people with fewer opportunities, we are building dramatic scenes and choreographies about the culture we have in Marseille fight xenophobia and promote tolerance.
We are interested in organizations specialised in theatre/ dance/ music and singing/ circus/ marionette/ shadow/ poetry/ magic/ visual arts... using those languages for social inclusion with children, youth, women, old people… And which want to integrate our narrative in their work and which are willing to share their work and experiences with world through audio visual contents.
As a final result, the idea is to mix all images we got, to make a video documentary in order to contribute to a better intercultural understanding, through history and traditions and show what we do together for a better world.
This project of broadcast documentary reporting aims to create bridges between cultures and exchanges between societies, and inspire the youth to take action and to be proactive in their lives, and teach them to work together a single unifying project.
It can result in the presentation of public events to support the promotion of interculturality and help widen the circle of cooperation for our solidarity action.

Moreover, we plan on organizing meetings throughout the project to bring together young people from disadvantaged social and cultural backgrounds, to discuss their situation and their cultural practices in a friendly way. These intercultural dialogues aim to stimulate the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship.
