ALL FOR DEMOCRACY

CALL FOR PARTNERS - ERASMUS + KA1 MOBILITY OF YOUNG PEOPLE YOUTH EXCHANGE

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The democratic future of a nation is an invaluable asset, but the democracy of a society is not granted if citizens do not contribute to its continuity. As a fact, the largest segment of society with a great potential for changes who can assure the continuity of democracy are young people. Thereby, young people participation to civic life is essential for the good functioning of society and continuity of democracy. Unfortunately, youth are not aware about the fact that for the democratic societies they life in, their parents, grandparents have made unimaginable efforts and sacrifices fighting strongly with totalitarian regimes.
According statistics young people show no interest in democratic life and participation. As a result, over 70% of youth aged between 18-24 are absent at elections and 66% of youth aged between 25-34, thing which can endanger democratic societies.
All these fact contrinuted to the conceive this project. The purpose of our youth exchange is to pay attention to this phenomenon, to raise awareness of youth on the importance of democratic life, civic participation and the right to election. Also, the project aim to raise awareness on the consequences of youth non-involvement in society.
