Youth for development Foundation

The Youth for Development Foundation was established in 2015 on the basis of a group of young people who organized various volunteer initiatives. Over the past four years, the Foundation has educated more than 8000 young people in Armenia, giving them skills on a child rights, safe internet, leadership, time management, self-employ ability, decision making and communication skills. The Foundation cooperates with the European Union, World Vision Organization, Partnership and Teaching NGO, SOS Children's Villages, Microsoft Armenia, Save the Children, COAF and other organizations. A number of training modules have been developed by the Foundation's members to teach young people through non-formal education. Some of the members are trainers and leaders for IMPACT module (leadership, active citizenship, social enterprise and employ-ability).

Organization goals:
• Promote the increase of youth employment in the Republic of Armenia.
• Promote youth participation in decision-making processes.
• Promoting innovative approaches in the socio-economic area.
• Promote the rights and interests of youth / children in the Republic of Armenia.
• To support reforms in the education sector, promoting young people's social protection, professional orientation and quality education.
• To contribute to the development of democracy and civil society in Armenia, emphasizing youth participation and involvement.
• Promote the institutional capacity building of the Foundation, ensuring consistent development of management spheres.

Foundation has implemented these projects:
• With financial support of World Vision Armenia, EU, Microsoft we have organized the set of training on human rights, safe internet, leadership etc. for more than 8000 children and youth throughout Armenia. /12000$/
• We have created LAMP platform (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA5mFU760KU) where youth all over the Armenia could raise their voice and speak about the challenges and solutions existing in their community and/or Country. Since 2016 we have implemented 6 LAMP projects. /36000$/
• ''12 History’' exhibition – sale with financial support of US Embassy in Armenia. The goal of the project was to present the stories of Syrian-Armenian women exposed to violence through canvas. /3000$/
• ''Child safety online'' project with financial support of Beeline Armenia. During the project, about 1,000 children participated in the training course on safe internet, followed by an intellectual game contest and a posters exhibition with teachers, pupils and parents. /4000$/
• “Support of most vulnerable child” project in Kanaker-Zeytun Community. The goal of the project is to support most vulnerable families to overcome financial difficulties. /80000$/

In “Youth for Development” Foundation works 15-20 people, and more than 60 volunteers.
The target group of Foundation is children between 6-16 years old and youngsters between 16-30 years old.
