Volunteer Centre Sutton (MAPS)

MAPS is a delivery project based within Volunteer Centre Sutton in South London, UK. We work with young people aged 6 to 21 who are Looked After by the local authority, those leaving care, young people in foster care, young carers, young people involved in or at risk of involvement in criminal activity, those who have witnessed domestic violence and trauma, substance misuse and other challenges in life. We recognise that these young people have many skills and assets which we support them to recognise and use to develop resilience and break down the barriers they face. Our purpose is to increase their knowledge, skills, employability and widen their horizons. Working with other young people with other experiences in other countries will grow these strengths and open up doors to them which may normally be closed.
