Volleyball club Zrinski Nuštar

OK Zrinski Nustar is founded 10.04.1979. in small town of Nustar, Vukovarsko-srijemska county, Croatia (5862 by 2001. list). The club operates continuously since its inception, even during the severe destruction in the Homeland War for Croatian independence. OK Zrinski played second league during the ‘80s in Yugoslavia and first Croatian league in early ‘90s. In 1993. OK Zrinski played in CEV cup versus Volleyball Club Torpedo Odessa. From the very beginning, the volleyball school worked very well, so until today we have had 12 senior/junior members national team of Croatian volleyball team (1 in Yugoslavia). Today, we are competing in second Croatian league and for the last five years we are fighting for the champion title and promotion in the elite ranking of Croatian Men's Volleyball. We have youth volleyball academy with more than 40 kids which are competing in 4 categories (Mini volley, younger cadets, cadets and juniors) and we are also working with kids in 3 schools in cooperation with teachers of physical education. The main goals in the following years are to increase the number of children in the volleyball academy, learn from other organizations, make good projects for children, make impact on society through sport and to create more players for the senior team. We are also proud that we are now (from 01/01/2020) involved in 2 Erasmus+ projects with partners from Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and Croatia.
