Van Provincial Directorate of National Education

Van National Education Directorate has established in 1939. The service was provided in the Old Government House in the first years. In 2016, it moved to the new building on İskele Street. The National Education Directorate which consists of two blocks in Van earthquake on 23,10,2011 has been damaged by seriously. Our directorate passed a temporarily rented building in 2014, and in 1927 we opened the old primary school of republic of Republican period,still continuing education-teaching in 1929. Because there was no high school in Van until 1948, students had to take education in other cities. In 1948, with the opening of Atatürk High School , this problem has been lifted.There are Science , Social Science ,Informatics , Vocational-Technical School, Maritime Schools where they can record in the direction of their talents and academic achievements.Winning Metropolitan Statue on 12,11,2012 brought some changes. Van National Education Directorates is the coordinator of other countries such as Tuşba and İpekyolu.The number of personnel including teachersaffiliated to the National Education Directorate is 16,327 including the districts belonging to the Education Directorate. There are 1359 schools in total that are bound to National Directorate.

Van National Directorate Ar-Ge unit is Eurodesk Contact Point . Info . activities are given in our schools , in NGOs and other public bodies. Information meetings are focused on European oppurtunities and guidance is given on Erasmus+ , DAKA projects . Our unit serves as a supervisor in all projects where we are partners for our on -site training institutions. In this way , it is aimed that projects will be a dental control mechanism and possible problems will be avoided. We are always in contact with all project- sponsored schools and we are advised if we need to do so. In addition to these, our AR-GE unit also serves as the E-Twinning Coordinator. As a result of this task , the Provincial Coordinator of Institution and Instructional mentor is provided for the projects.
We have an external supervisor mechanism where all our projects are managed or shared by our educational institutions . We are always in contact with all schools which have projects ang give advices to them that is a part of our duty .
