Tumult

Tumult is a Belgian non-profit organization for youth that focuses on peace education. For more than 40 years now, Tumult strives to live up to peace education values and to bring children and young people in contact with peace themes. Different methods are used to achieve these goals such as non-formal trainings, intercultural summer camps or an educational game. Most important: it must be fun!
Without exception, these initiatives fit into one of the three central themes:
1. Managing conflict and tackling violence
2. Promoting cultural dialogue
3. Exploring war and peace

Tumult strives to ensure that all children and young people may discover and give shape to an active culture of peace and nonviolence.
Tumult trains children and young people to manage conflicts from a strong commitment encourages a critical attitude towards society.
The organisation works inclusively, sets out to reinforce everyone’s own strengths, and guarantees a fun, interactive and participatory approach.
