Cooperativa Sociale Kirikù is a social and educational enterprise founded in 2009 and located in the North of Italy, in the municipality of Montebelluna in the province of Treviso. We are strongly committed to the Erasmus+ priorities of social inclusion, youth protagonism, active citizenship and wellbeing. Kirikù creates meaningful opportunities for children, adolescents and young people to grow, express themselves and actively contribute to their communities.
We work across more than 70 municipalities implementing projects for early childhood, youth, schools, families and local communities. In 2024 we reached 14.45 beneficiaries, including 8.007 minors, through a wide range of services and initiatives. Among the various projects, we promote youth wellbeing and civic participation through youth councils, youth centres and aggregation spaces, a youth employment desk, educational and creative workshops in schools, counselling and listening services, street education and participatory methodologies such as the Go Deep Game.
We also coordinate large community-based initiatives such as:
Social Day, a youth-led day of solidarity where students engage in voluntary activities or community work and donate the proceeds to social or international cooperation projects.
Ci Sto? Affare Fatica!, an educational summer programme where teenagers take care of public spaces and community assets, receiving vouchers to spend in local shops.
Moreover, for young adults aged 18+, Kirikù promotes autonomy-skills training (for those exiting day centres for minors), guidance for life choices, job placement support, and social-isolation interventions to help reconnect isolated youth.
Our vision is reinforced by European projects that bring innovation and international perspectives into our territories. These include:
- SPORT4ALL, an Erasmus+ Sport project developing an educational methodology to support the inclusion of young people experiencing educational poverty in sports contexts.
- ROUTE, an Erasmus+ (Key Action KA210-VET) project enhancing local restorative justice ecosystems by analysing current practices, strengthening professionals’ skills and improving cooperation between public and private stakeholders.
- TOC (Theory of Change), an AMIF project supporting the integration of migrant children and young adults by offering interdisciplinary trainings to students, parents, teachers and youth workers, promoting critical thinking, empowerment and inclusive learning environments.
- NDPD (Na deželo po delo / In campagna per lavoro), an Erasmus+ project helping young people explore green and sustainable rural careers, developing practical and digital skills and making traditional professions more visible and attractive.
Our cooperative is supported by a qualified team of around 80 staff members, mostly professional educators with academic degrees, who receive monthly training and psychological supervision. Our European Office includes specialists in project design, administration, monitoring and communication. We are also accredited as an ESC Sending Organisation, ensuring safe, inclusive and meaningful mobility experiences for young people.
We are currently seeking collaborations for small- and large-scale strategic partnerships, especially with accreditated organisations that host Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges. We have many motivated young people eager to participate in international mobility. We are particularly interested in preparing and sending minors aged 15–17 already involved in our local activities, for whom Kirikù guarantees the presence of a professional educator who accompanies and supports the group throughout the entire experience.
Kirikù offers strong professional expertise, a structured European Office, experienced youth workers and a significant local impact: international experiences are integrated into long-term educational pathways, allowing young people to return with new skills, ideas and motivation that enrich their communities. Our communication team can also support professional dissemination through structured and high-quality materials.
