The Partner-Finding Tool
Our NGO, Parcours Le Monde, created in December 2015, promotes citizenship, intercultural dialogue and international mobility for young adults from 16 to 30, regardless of their qualifications and experience. We consider that international mobility is a structuring step towards inclusion and employability, particularly for young people with fewer opportunities. Whether it is a job, an internship or a volunteering, an experience abroad always provides many learning outcomes which can be personal, cultural, professional, linguistic and technical.
Our organisation also seeks to promote international mobility as a professional and social integration tool among youngsters and professionals from public institutions and private sector.
International mobility for all…
The activities and actions of our organization are developed around 4 areas:
•Informing young adults about the different international mobility opportunities by organizing collective information meetings, positive action campaigns and awareness-rising campaigns on the various mobility projects they can build.
•Individual guidance and mentoring with the young people in order to carry out a project regarding a job, an internship or a volunteering abroad. The project manager is in charge of the individual guidance of the youngsters. She keeps a regular contact with them through individual and collective interviews and workshops, and she ensures the smooth progress of their project from the beginning to the end. The project manager deals with skills in inclusion, youth work and international project. We use a specific notebook, a tool that we created to mentor young participants in the best conditions during the entire period of the youngster’s project. It highlights their learning objectives and improvements, both on a personal and a professional level.
•Developing a local, national, European and international network (via seminars, trainings…) in order to give the young adults an adjusted and relevant support.
•Supporting young people when they return from their job/internship/volunteering abroad by helping them valuing their experience. Through individual and collective moments, we give them the opportunity to express themselves about the benefits and skills they acquired.
Our staff:
Youth workers, full time volunteers (Civil Service) and volunteers with great experience in the field of international youth mobility, workers mobility and learning mobility.
