NGO Ukrainian Youth Centre

Ukrainian Youth Center – is non-profit, non-governmental organization that works on youth initiatives development, realization of innovative projects and unites active citizens of Ukraine on a voluntary basis (UYC).
Our aim is to carry out programs and coordinate implementation of various projects in the youth field aimed at developing new areas of youth movement and support of youth innovation and creative initiatives, etc., establish a mechanism for the development of the youth movement in Ukraine in the process of democratization of civil society.
History of the organization began in 1996. Whereas the former leaders of UYC didn’t conduct any activities, therefore in January 23, 2011 the Board was changed, which was the revival of the youth center.
The main objectives of the organization include:
- to promote youth social movement to support of democratic processes in society;
- to facilitate the process of democratization and building civil society through youth participation;
- to encourage young people actively participate in the life of their society and have active citizenship;
- to involve young people (including youth with fewer opportunities) in civic processes in society and support social cohesion in general.
Our activities:
-implementation of various youth and international programs, exchanges and projects;
-organization of mass events, actions, festivals, including international;
- youth education and training;
- making proposals to the authorities and management regarding youth and educational policy;
- cooperation with other NGOs and international organizations;
- providing consultations, financial, information, humanitarian, legal and other assistance;
- coordinating activities of various organizations that meet the purpose and objectives of UYC;
- providing information, resources and other conditions for the development of different areas of the youth movement, particularly in the social sphere.
The members of our organization are active young people who work on a volunteer basis to promote development of Ukrainian society, youth activities and our organization.
The main activities and members of UYC, in charge of:
- Trainings of personal and professional development;
- International youth Projects;
- Work with children from orphanages and volunteers;
- Maintaining contacts and financial statements;
- Organization of actions and events;
- Internet pages support and information dissemination through the Internet;
- Youth encouragement of healthy lifestyle through seminars, workshops.
