‘Minorities of Israel’ (M.o.I) is a registered nonprofit organization, for the service of the public, with European Union Identity Number: IL-2010-EEQ-0401628727

Vision:
Our vision is to create a platform of dialogue for intercultural learning based on informal education on the principal of democratic values, human rights and a sustainable environment. Our activities aim to increase the capacities of minority groups and their peers, resulting in increased understanding, rapprochement and the minimization of our environmental ‘foot print’ for the benefit of our and future generations.

Target Groups:
Our activities target civic organizations, civil society, government bodies and policy makers, promoting and building awareness of equal opportunity for all and the fight against discrimination, racism and xenophobia.

Methodology:
‘Minorities of Israel’ coordinates, manages, implements, monitors and evaluates actions and applications within the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy Instrument and its various funding programs, for example:

“Minorities of Israel’ also works with other associations and foundations that fund activities with similar goals and uses its large distribution list of potential project partners on a national and international level.

Agenda:
To build the capacity of:
 Minority cultures, religious and ethnic people and the organizations that represent them.
 Government authorities, bodies, policy makers and community leaders.
 Those with special needs.
 Youth and communities at risk.
 Women and organizations that represent them.
To promote and build awareness of:
 Democratic values
 Human rights
 Equal opportunity for all (based on gender, cultural, ethnic, race and religion)
 Sustainable Environment
 The fight against racism, discrimination and xenophobia


Personnel:
‘Minority of Israel’ is a small organization with two full time employees, its activities are carried out with the cooperation of other organizations who where necessary supply the necessary administrative, management and pedagogical experts for the implementation of activities and volunteers.

Our full time staff includes:
• Dan Wollner – Executive Director
Dan has a Masters in Industrial Psychology and worked for many years successfully in the business world as the Managing Director, Marketing and Export Manager for companies in the business sector.
In 2003 Dan established a company by the name of ‘Youth for the Community’ which target youth at risk and environmental issues.
‘Youth for the Community’ received greater public recognition through its receiving a prize from the European Union for ‘best project’ at a gala event, that celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona Agreement, in Cairo, Egypt in 2005.
With a widening of its agenda and an increase demand for cooperation by other organizations Dan established ‘Minorities of Israel’ in the beginning of 2007 (and closed ‘Youth for the Community’).
On specific programs of the ENPI program Dan works outside the framework of ‘Minorities of Israel’ and represents the European Union, as ‘The Israeli Capacity Building Expert’ whose duties include building the capacities of organizations to apply for and implement projects within the framework of the program.
Dan has also undergone various SALTO courses and is classified as a ‘multiplier’ by the Euro Med program.

• Inbal Shtivi – Project Writer and coordinator
Inbal has a BA degree in Communication and Management.
Since 2006 she has successfully developed and coordinated numerous multinational and bilateral projects within the EC framework and other programs.
Through attendance to many SALTO courses and other international seminars, Inbal has developed an expertise in project development and management in accordance with the EC objectives and methodologies.
