Meryem-Mehmet Kayhan Ortaokulu

Our school was built in memory of Mehmet and the Virgin Mary by the kayhan family, one of Adana's well-known families, in a traffic accident of elimin on 29/01/1996. The kayhan family donated their name to the Ministry of National Education in 1999. Our school was established in 1999-2000 academic year. Our school, located at cukurova District, Yurt Mahallesi, 71499 Street, has been of an increasing importance since the year it was opened due to its location. As a result of the development of the position and population density, the Ministry of national education has built an additional 12 classrooms for the 2002-2003 academic year. Currently our school has 24 classrooms, 1 it classroom, 1 Science Laboratory, 1 workshop and 1 seminar Hall.
In our school, 1 Director, 1 Vice principal, 3 vice principal, 4 school psychological counselor (guidance), 86 branch teachers, 4 staffed 1590 students are served.
Our school is located in a developing area since its foundation. In addition to this position, our school has also announced its name with its success in sports, social activities and academic fields. Since it is the institution that sends the most students to higher education institutions with high success levels, our school has started to migrate from different educational districts. As a result of this migration, there has been a variety of socio-cultural aspects in the student profile of our school. Another factor contributing to this diversity is that education is carried out in villages close to our school. As a result of all this,we can say that our school is composed of a range of students from lower, middle and upper classes in terms of socio-cultural aspects.
