WHO WE ARE
We are a non-profit association located in Karlsruhe, Germany. We are comitted to raise the awareness of media consumption and usage amongst the general public. Especially in terms of important main topics like privacy, data protection and promotion of all required competences of the digitalization.

MISSION STATEMENT
We help to understand the digital world,
to recognize the risks and opportunities,
and to learn how to handle the digital media

WHAT WE DO
Currently we are providing trainings, presentations and workshops for children and young people, students, parents and all interested persons. By this we cover all topics related to digitalisation and digital transformation, including but not limited to:

- Chances and risks of the digital world
- privacy and data protection in the digital world
- media use and media effects in children and young people (educational guideline and technical opportunities)
- propaganda, opinion making and fake news
- business models of the internet
- Handling of the own smartphone and internet (concrete how-tos and tutorials)

We are executing trainings, workshops and presentations and we are working closely together with the local social and youth welfare authority.

We´ve done multiple school projects (3rd, 4th and 5th class) in subject of privacy and digital communication. The projects were executed in close coordination with the school social workers and we used a experience-based education approach.

OUR TEAM/EXPERTISE
Our members are mainly from the free economy - with a strong focus on IT-business in areas of hosting industry, product management and social media - but we also have trained educators, social competency trainers and motivated students in our team; so we have a broad and significant practical experience.

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
In 2020 we will focussing on specific projects to increase awareness for all risks and opportunities of the digital world. Ideas range from awareness campaigns to toolboxes with methods and expercises.

We are open to discuss and share ideas and looking for partners to work together on international projects…
