Kóder ffs.

Kóder was founded in February 2016. Our main goal is to give all children the opportunity to learn programming and creative problem solving regardless of class, gender or any other stereotypes. So far we have held classes for over 1000 students and built partnerships with libraries and schools in the capital area. Our end goal is to have programming put into the national elementary school curriculum. We believe learning programming is a gateway to learning many more essential life skills. We believe it empowers children to dare to come up with their own ideas and frees their minds to challenge social norms with the goal of improving our standard of living. The lack of women and girls in the IT sector is a major issue that needs to be fixed immediately. We take on this issue by offering girl-only courses whenever possible as well as encouraging girls especially to participate in our courses.
