Italian Chamber of Commerce / Italienische Handelskammer München-Stuttgart (www.italcam.de) is a German no-profit association of industrial and commercial enterprises, professionals and traders who wish to work actively to develop economic relationships in Europe, especially between Italy and Germany.
Active for more than 90 years on the territory, ITALCAM is also officially recognized by the Italian Government, as a strategic actor for the support in bilateral cooperation and for the assistance to entrepreneurs in their associate.
ITALCAM is fully integrated into Assocamerestero network: Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, that comprises 78 chambers (all recognized by the Italian Government under Law 518, July 1970) with 140 offices in 54 countries and more than 18.000 businesses as members. Assocamerestero offers a full range of business services on advantageous terms, either directly or in partnership with its Members, specialists in their respective fields.
The Chamber promotes and supports the different phases of the internationalization process, providing commercial assistance to German and Italian enterprises through its large international networks. The aim is to develop initiatives aimed at sharing experiences and best practices between Italian and German enterprises, local and public authorities.

Furthermore, the Chamber develops services and projects focused on the support of SMEs, either as main contractor or as a partner, acting as facilitator for the market uptake of new businesses as well as promoter of already well-established economic relations between Italy and Germany and in general enhancing the culture of entrepreneurship.
Moreover, in order to optimize the information and assistance services offered to companies, the Chamber perform information functions, market and partners research, business consulting, import-export services, documentation, B2B meetings, marketing, communication, legal service and events organization.
It is fundamental for the Chamber to increase the capacity and effective internationalization of SMEs. Internationalization has become the condition for SMEs to survive in a greatly competitive environment. The role of the Chamber is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the dissemination of best internationalization practices put into practice by different European nations.
ITALCAM can actively follow all the stages of the project, with a particular focus on business networking and entrepreneurial tutoring, coaching and mentoring on different thematic (international trading, export management, languages skills, accounting).
Every year ITALCAM provides a full range of business services strictly related to foster the SMEs internationalization processes: market research, partner research, business analysis, import-export services, organisation of b2b meetings, legal services, workshops and networking events, participation at international fairs and European Projects.
The Chamber has a specific desk that deals with the internationalization of SMEs through cooperation and relations with European and extra-European States.
Furthermore, the European Projects’ Desk (EU-Desk) provides information on European funding, European tenders, calls (Erasmus+, COSME, Interreg Alpine Space, Interreg Central Europe, Interreg Danube Region, Interreg Europe) and other European activities that may interest companies and public bodies in Italy, Europe and Germany.
