IDC Cuenca

The Community Development Institute of Cuenca aims to the comprehensive development of the province of Cuenca (Spain), with special focus on rural areas and their communities or disadvantaged population groups.

The CDI Cuenca specific purposes are:
- To Promote the affirmation and enriching cultural identity
- The recovery of cultural heritage (artistic, historical, ethnograplic,…)
- The preservation of beauty, singularity and variety of the countryside and the proper management of environmental resources
- The assistance for local economic development through the implementation of business innovation, new technologies and new forms of organization to make companies more competitive. The promotion of R+D projects to enhance the local development
- Measures of animation and specific training for employment and social integration of more vulnerable population segments, including: youth people, aged 45 years, rural women, long-term unemployed, disabled people, etc.
- To promote transnational cooperation to develop initiatives that increase the social economic and environmental cohesion.
