Fundacja "Kultury Świata"

The Foundation goals are among others, to promote knowledge about the culture and daily life in other countries; to sensitize the Polish society to the problems of developing countries and the relations stemming from advancing globalisation processes; to develop and strengthen tolerance and openness towards representatives of other cultures; to promote knowledge about migration in Poland and the EU and to promote volunteerism. The Foundation fulfills them through implementing different projects, giving lectures, conducting trainings and workshops and establishing contacts with organisations, institutions and companies whose activities are compatible with the aims of the Foundation in Poland and abroad.
The Foundation has broad experience in development cooperation and volunteering projects implemented in various countries of Africa (Tanzania, Uganda, Senegal, Cameroun) and Asia (Myanmar, India, Cambodia) financed mostly in the frame of the development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. They have had different topics, from agriculture, environment protection, health and education, to entrepreneurship. The foundation has been cooperating with public institutions and private organizations. Among others Teachers Resouce Center in Moshi, Action for Fundamental Change and Devlopment in Kampala, Village Pilote in Dakar, Cambodia Children's Orphanage for Learning and Training in Phnom Penh. Moreover, the foundation is very active in global and intercultural education initiatives.
