The Partner-Finding Tool
The Ibercaja Foundation looks to the future and addresses society’s new needs with one clear objective: to generate new opportunities for people and companies with a firm commitment to work for the development of the region.
It is a private non-profit organisation which had been operating since 1876 as a savings bank until its conversion into a banking foundation in 2014.
The Ibercaja Foundation has nearly 120 employees who schedule, manage and publicise its social, cultural and training programmes.
Emotional competencies, technological skills, financial knowledge and entrepreneurial initiative are becoming increasingly prominent in the training of tomorrow’s professionals. Consequently the Ibercaja Foundation has developed tools and programmes for the educational community which support and add to the education of the new generations:
Educate for the Future Programme: program aimed at the educational community; a forum for discussion and debate about educational innovation. Its 6th edition brought together over 17,000 actions in a total of 55 face-to-face activities.
Learning to be an Entrepreneur: this programme is aimed at 5th and 6th year primary school students in Zaragoza, Huesca and La Rioja and is designed to help them understand how cooperatives work in the school setting while fostering their entrepreneurial spirit and self-sufficiency. Last year 2,150 students from 43 schools took part in it.
Ibercaja Teaching Programmes: they add to the education of young children through a range of activities tailored to educational stages in key areas such as financial education, art, science, technology, languages and the environment. Over 54,000 people benefited from these programmes in the 2016–2017 school year.
Ibercaja Online Classroom: a digital service that provides the educational community with resources to enhance classroom work. It has over 900 activities in the form of exercises, games, simulations and audiovisual resources about science, technology, the humanities and audiovisual techniques. In 2017 it received 119,196 visits.
Ibercaja Educational Guidance: a digital service that offers information and advice to young people, parents and educators so they can make decisions about the most appropriate studies and careers in their particular case. 10,700 users have signed up for it.
