Edifici Jove "Lo Carrilet"

Edifici Jove "Lo Carrilet" offers many activities throughout the year, orientated to youngsters between 15 and 35 years with different cultural, national and economical backgrounds.

One of our projects is ART TOTAL, an intercultural dinamization project aimed at young people between 15 and 35 years of the City of Tortosa, which main purpose is the development and intercultural integration of young people through art and other recreational, cultural and leisure activities.
The project was born in 2009, within a city project called the Work Program in the Neighborhoods, within the Intercultural Community Intervention Plan and the Local Youth Plan of Tortosa organized and directed by the City Council of Tortosa. That is why one of our main ideas is to coordinate with associations and other entities of the City.
The group which this plan is addressed to is, on the one hand, those young people normalized in the city between 15 and 35 years old, but with a more specific focus on those young people who are at risk or suffer some type of social exclusion. Our objective is to energize this group in order to foster integration and education.

"Art Total" seeks to promote the participation of the youngsters in the cultural life of the city, also contributing to equal opportunities on the access of what the city has to offer. It seeks to promote inter-cultural assets and coexistence in between the group and to potentate artistic skills.
