Ceolteori Sliabh Luachra

Ceolteoiri Sliabh Luachra are a group of young people. The ancient music of Ireland dates back around 10,000 years. This Youth Club is focused around the Sliabh Luachra local heritage and culture promoting Duhallow as a culturally distinct region. The regions identity is intrinsically linked to its culture. The main aims of the group are to combat rural isolation and social exclusion and to promote and preserve the ancient traditions and culture of the Sliabh Luachra region.Some of the older members have gone on to teach this ancient music and dance to future generations.
