CENTRE SOCIAL EBREUIL

Since the creation in 1975, the priority objective of the association Centre Social d'Ebreuil is to encourage local development in the rural area of Ebreuil. That’s why this project was developed together with local population and is based on the local resources and needs. The aim is to encourage inhabitants to
take an active part in the improvement of their life conditions, development of education, culture,
reinforcement of solidarity, prevention and reduction of social exclusion.

There fore the social center is a multi-purpose place open for all, where everyone can find activities and services in the most varied fields: social, cultural and educational as well as health, entertainment, information etc. Viva Sioule promotes, creates and manages all the activities and services in cooperation with young people, their families and all inhabitants.
This project is co-built with inhabitants of the territory and relies on local resources and needs identified
The axes of the project 2015-2019 are declined following 3 philosophies for the territory: 1- Territory to discover 2- Territory to be shared 3- Territory to be built together Within these 3 philosophies actions are detailed. We present the actions that can be linked to the Erasmus + program.

C2 - Youth as a resource: development and support of youth projects, awareness-raising actions on youth engagement - supporting young people in the creation and operation of their junior association.
The social center reaches a wide audience from early childhood to seniors. The privileged audience in Erasmus + actions are young people aged 12-30, but the actions can be thought for an intergenerational audience.
The Social Center project relies on the forces identified in the territory but also on the volunteers. The project can evolve according to the desire of everyone to invest, skills identified or existing in the territory. This space of freedom allows to develop projects or actions that respond to the different ERAMSUS + programs and allows for a young European voluntary service to find its place and propose actions that it wishes to develop.
The Ebreuil Social Center is made up of a team of 40 volunteers - directors and employees (13 FTEs).
The Social Center of Ebreuil acts on a rural territory composed of 17 communes. As rurality is important, this criterion is fully integrated into the proposed actions.
For many years, Social Center of Ebreuil has led various Youth projects, including European ones like Youth Exchanges. Some young people are also involved in projects reinforcing cooperation with African countries. To support and enhance these activities, the association Viva Sioule has expressed a will to host a first European Volunteer (EVS).
Today, the organization is working on the territory of 18 municipalities in the rural area of Ebreuil and around. The association Viva Sioule is part of the national and regional network of social and sociocultural centers of France.
