Associazione Juvenes ONLUS

The Associazione Juvenes ONLUS was founded in 1983 in Bolzano-Bozen – the capital city of the trilingual province of South Tyrol – aiming to offer activities and services that can raise the interest of young people aged between 10 and 20 from the whole South Tyrol, such as entertainment in its youth centre, leisure, theatre, hiking, training, solidarity commitment, etc.
Today Associazione Juvenes is made of a staff of six youth works, one European volunteer (EVS programme), over thirty volunteers and hundreds of registered teenage-members.

Associazione Juvenes recognizes the value of the involvement of young people in its activities, never forgetting its motto: “youth for the youth”. The youth centre is not only a place with table games, video games or Internet service, but the youth workers and educators of Associazione Juvenes organize also significant projects and events such as: assistance in homework, dance classes, annual musicals and other theatre projects, sport events, cooking workshops, creativity laboratories, gardening, beekeeping, summer vacations, international cooperation projects (fundraising actions and meetings with disadvantaged populations of the world), 3D-printer workshops, robotics groups, drones training, etc.
All these activities show how much the Associazione Juvenes values the fact that the youngsters have the opportunity to express themselves in very different ways. Therefore is crucial that the youth workers of Juvenes are able to understand the youngsters and to meet their ever-changing needs and interests, constantly renovating the proposed activities.

Every member of the staff of Juvenes has an own area of competence and manages a specific area of the organization, such as the daily activities and games in the youth centre, the homework assistance, the theatre projects, the international projects or the technological ones. The specific competences of every member of the staff and the constant team-work between the youth workers make of Juvenes a very good connoisseur of the youth of 2017. This knowledge can be a valuable support for an Erasmus+ project that aims to bring teenagers of different part of Europe together for a mutual acquaintance and a comparison of their different ways of life.
