Association for Youth Empowerment and Security

Founded in 2019, Association for Youth Empowerment and Security is a young non-governmental organisation run by three motivated students. The aim of the Association is to develop critical thinking and civic initiative skills in the community, especially among young people. We put emphasis on ​​security challenges present in our society and recognize the need to detabooise and educate, both ourselves and others, about these topics through active work with the community. Our goal is to encourage young people to actively participate in all aspects of society, especially political. Raising awareness of politics within our daily lives leads to building a strong foundation for just and conscientious society. Through non-formal education, we focus on empowering young people and the general population to better understand the challenges of today, develop proactive attitudes, and raise awareness of their capabilities and capacities. We believe that by building such skills as well as providing an opportunity to participate in intercultural dialogue, we prevent and reduce attitudes that develop violent, illegal and extreme behavior. In this way, we establish a safe environment in our society. Within our goals, we want to provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in European projects (trainings, seminars, youth exchanges, etc.) to gain new experience, learn about different cultures, exchange good practices and enrich themselves with new skills.
