Asociacion Grupo Scout Eryteeia

Our organisation was founded by a group of volunteers. We educate in values through leisure and promote scouting. We use sports, out-door activities and awareness of the environment.
Apart of the weekly activities with youth and children of the city, we have been carrying out environmental education activities at the beach of El Castillo-Camposoto 12 seasons.
We are members, for 6 years now, of the Municipal Programme for the Promotion of Volunteering, and responsible for the Environmental Watch of the Beach Castillo-Camposoto and the Natural Monument of Andalusia "Punta del Boquerón".
We have a sport section organising sport competitions. This year, we organised the XIV Athletic Latin American Championships of San Fernando 2010. We have arranged and coordinated about 400 volunteers and over 15,000 hours of volunteering.
Due to our volunteering experience, we consider that the EVS can help us to reach our aims. It can also be a starting point for our volunteers to know other European countries. European volunteers can also know our culture participating with us.
We have participated in the EVS since 2010 hosting 4 volunteers and we have participated in the YiA Programme with Youth Initiatives and Youth Exchanges.

The organisation will always act according to the principles of the Programme's Guide and EVS Charter and commits to fulfil all formal elements and action criteria stated in them.

As coordinating organisation, we will ensure positive agreements with our partners which guarantee a correct project management, both in technical and administrative aspects. The Activity Agreements will detail the appropriate management elements for each project. In any case, we commit to establish and carry out the technical, training and administrative measures which ensure a comprehensive, open learning process for volunteers, an efficient follow-up and mentorship, individual for each volunteer, a transparent financial management, and, in general, the fulfilment of all matters established in the Programme's Guide.
