Asociación IROKO Desarrollo Forestal Sostenible

IROKO DFS is a Spanish NGO formed in 2007 by a open group of students and experts, in the field of Forestry. We start from a direct knowledge of the situation of tropical population and from the belief that forest sector has much to say in its development.

All board members work selflessly in the organization, not receiving any salary or compensation for such collaboration.

What is our purpose?

Promoting social-economic development of disadvantaged communities in developing countries through the sustainable use of their natural resources.

Promoting environmental conservation through the mentioned sustainable forest management.

Raising awareness and training students and professional staff, mainly from forestry, agricultural and environmental fields, on the sustainable use of natural resources, specially tropical forests, plantations and agroforestry systems.
