A.S.B.L. Braives Jeunesse – Maison de Jeunes

The Braives Youth House is a welcoming place for young people to meet, share, and express themselves in the heart of the Belgian countryside.
Our members, aged 12 to 26 (mainly 13 to 18 years old), create and lead their own projects, explore their passions, and gain confidence with the support of a team that truly believes in their potential.

Our philosophy
We believe that young people should have the space to express themselves, make mistakes, learn, try again, and grow together.
Everything starts from their ideas, needs, and interests. Through sports, performing arts, street art, ecology, and community projects, each initiative becomes a shared learning experience.

Our key projects
One of our biggest achievements is the creation of a local youth festival, fully organized by young people themselves — from communication and stage management to artist welcoming, sponsorship, and programming.
It’s a challenging but rewarding experience, helping them learn responsibility, teamwork, creativity, and resilience.
And this project is only the beginning: it continues to grow, evolve, and become a key cultural event for our community.

Partnerships
We work closely with the Cultural Center of Braives – Espace Samare, as well as local schools, associations, and community services, to connect young people with their surroundings and opportunities for growth.

Looking ahead
Our young members are now eager to broaden their horizons through Erasmus+ projects — meeting other young people from across Europe, sharing experiences, discovering new cultures, and working together on topics like ecology and inclusion.
Every exchange is a chance to learn differently, build long-term friendships, and take part in a living, creative, and open European citizenship.
